In 1912, the mayor of a small Norwegian town sealed a small package and wrote on top: “May be opened in 2012.” Today, they’re going to open the package! You can watch a livestream of the opening at 11:00am ET. (They are taking some time, it’s going to be more like 12:30pm ET!) Mystery in it’s purest form!

As a part of the J-Pop Summit Festival in San Francisco’s Japantown this weekend, REG is running an event based on the influential anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. Cool!

Registration is open for BAPHL 6 (in Boston) on September 15th. The deadline to sign up is Tuesday, September 11th. Registration is a measly $15 per team, so get your team together and sign up soon! And hey beginners, BAPHL has a beginner’s track that comes with a package of hints you can use at your discretion. It pretty much sounds like the best!
