Friday Round-up

I bet you all can guess what I’m busy with today…

Jefferson’s Lost Invention
This is it folks, my first public Ravenchase Adventure!  Tomorrow, 4:00pm in beautiful Charlottesville, VA.  Sign up today and come have some fun!

Race Till Midnight
More of a night-owl?  Try out the Race Till Midnight tomorrow night at 9:00pm in Alexandria, VA.  If I weren’t hosting my own event, I’d be there in a heartbeat!  What’s more thrilling than a race through the night?

The Great America Race
The Kickstarter campaign is over, but the race is still on!  The Great America Race starts August 10 and ends August 17th, spanning six cities across the East coast from Washington to Boston.  Play for the whole week, or just a few days.  Explore American history on the East Coast!  Support East Coast puzzle hunts!

Real Escape Game, Real Busy!
The folks at Real Escape Game are keeping busy this summer.  Next up is Escape from an Angel, a scavenger hunt-style event with a Neon Genesis Evangelion theme as a part of the J-pop Summit Festival in San Francisco’s Japantown, August 25th and 26th.  If you can’t make it out to SF, you can still enjoy some unique puzzle-solving by playing a one-time-only live online game event, REGAME Escape from the Haunted House on July 24th, starting at 9:00 EST.

Professor Layton #5 Arrives in November
I’m a little late on this announcement, but at long last the fifth installment of the Professor Layton puzzle game series for Nintendo DS, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, is due to hit North American shelves in November of this year.  Miracle Mask is a continuation of the prequel story started in The Last Specter.

Scare for a Cure Theme Announced — Summer Camp Massacre!
It’s almost August, and that means it’s almost September, which means it’s almost October, which means it’s time to start thinking about HALLOWEEN.  SCARE for a CURE, Austin’s awesome interactive haunted experience, has a new location (the J. Lorraine Ghost Town) and a new theme: Summer Camp Massacre!  They already have have some fun backstory development going on over at Tumblr.  If there is one thing that makes me wish I still lived in Austin, it’s SCARE for a CURE.

Black Letter Game Winding Down
So… how are you all doing on Artifact #5?  We’ve got 25 points on the board, now the gears are turning very slowly.  July 20th and only four teams have completed the entire artifact.  Is it particularly tough, or are we all exhausted?

Here’s hoping everything runs smoothly with Jefferson’s Lost Invention. What’s the weather like, there? (Summer is definitely not the time of year for running around Dallas.)

Thanks! =) I appreciate the support!

As far as weather, we finally got out of the crazy heatwave and the forecast was saying 82 and cloudy (amazing, though probably still humid), but now it’s looking like maybe some scattered or isolated thunderstorms. No telling for sure, but it at least won’t be breaking 100 like a few weeks ago!

We hit 106 today. 82 sounds nice. Although, thunderstorms might suck. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.
